How to …

Troubleshoot your broadband issues

 
 

When you have a problem with your broadband it can very frustrating - whether this is a speed issue, or WiFi connection issue - but did you know that in most cases you can solve the issue yourself without the need to speak to technical support? (Although we are more than happy to assist you) Once you've determined that your broadband connection is at fault you'll need to track down the cause.

  • Is your phone line working okay?
  • Is your router powered on?
  • Are any lights flashing on the router?

Most commonly when you have a fault you'll hear technicians say "power everything down for 20 minutes, and power everything back up" this may seem like a brush off by the technician, but in fact most issues are resolved by just taking this step because it resets not just your hardware but the connection at your street cabinet and exchange.
